Student Device Program

Empowering Learning

Leveraging Contemporary Technologies

Emerging technologies are regularly reviewed to ensure the Christ Church community continues to benefit from tools that are diverse, effective, and aligned with community expectations. To support teaching and learning, the School provides a school-funded one-to-one device program for all students and staff.

The Devices

Students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6 use iPads, which provide a versatile and intuitive platform tailored to the needs of younger learners.

From 2026, students in Years 7 and 10 will begin using Lenovo devices, with all year groups transitioning to these models by 2026/27. For all other year groups, Microsoft Surface devices are used, offering the flexibility, sophistication, and productivity tools essential for advanced learning.

This dual-model approach ensures that every student has access to technology that supports their development and learning at every stage of their schooling.

Cyber Safety

A strong focus on digital safety and responsibility underpins the School’s technology program. Students are educated about safe and responsible internet use, instilling an awareness of the importance of protecting both their own online reputation and that of others. The School follows Federal Government guidelines and best-practice approaches to cyber safety while also filtering and monitoring online content accessed by students on campus.

Access to social media platforms such as Snapchat and Instagram is restricted during school hours, with limited access available to boarding students outside of class times. Through this combination of education, monitoring, and clear expectations, Christ Church ensures that its students are well-prepared to participate as responsible digital citizens.
