Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarships are awarded to boys of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage at various levels of entry to the Senior School. They provide exceptional educational opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander boys who have the potential to lead within their community. Scholarships are available for boarding and day students and are tenable for the duration of a boy’s education at Christ Church.
How to Apply
The application should be completed by the student and his parents or guardian. Applications should include the following:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship Application Form
- Application for Admission (no fee payable)
- A copy of the student’s birth certificate
- Copies of the student’s last two school reports
- A copy of the student’s most recent NAPLAN assessment
- A recent passport size photograph of the student
- A character reference by a person (not related) who has known the student over time

ABSTUDY and MADALAH Scholarships
Christ Church encourages families to explore ABSTUDY and MADALAH Scholarships, supported by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
MADALAH Limited is a not-for-profit organisation offering secondary and tertiary scholarships to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, particularly from remote and regional areas. As a MADALAH partner school, Christ Church students in Years 7 to 12 may be eligible. For details, visit the MADALAH website.
