A Legacy of Faith and Learning
Anglican Faith and Practice
In 1910, the Rector of Christ Church Claremont, the Reverend William McClemans opened the doors of a small preparatory school which operated out of his home. Since its founding, Christ Church Grammar School has been grounded in Anglican faith and practice, which continues to this day.
Holistic Education & Inclusive Community
Christ Church Grammar School is committed to the holistic education of boys: their emotional, social, intellectual, physical and spiritual development. We welcome students and families from all backgrounds and faiths to be part of our community.
Since 1918, the School has had 15 chaplains. The current Chaplain, The Reverend Nicholas Russell has been involved in ministry to youth for over 30 years. An English teacher by profession, he also teaches Religious Education at Christ Church.
