Mental, Physical and Spiritual Health
Building Good Men
The Centre for Health and Wellbeing, opened in 2015, delivers a comprehensive program of information, activities and guest speakers for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. Focused on holistic wellbeing, its goal is to influence and inspire a new generation of boys to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing. The Centre’s work involves working closely with parents, fostering a shared commitment to supporting the growth, health and overall wellbeing of every boy.
The Wellbeing Journey
Socio‑emotional support programs and positive education in the Preparatory School for our youngest students helps them regulate responses and develop a positive outlook.
In the Senior School, students are given information that expands their thinking and introduces them to a life that includes a proactive and preventative approach to good health, holistic wellbeing, joy, and fulfilment.

-
Outdoor Education
Outdoor Education is a vital part of our Health and Wellbeing strategy, helping boys build resilience, teamwork, and self-reliance through active, challenging experiences in nature. These programs encourage healthy risk-taking, foster strong social connections, and support students’ physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. By stepping outside their comfort zones and connecting with the environment, they develop lifelong habits that contribute to their overall health and happiness.

Rites of Passage Program
The School’s Rites of Passage programs, On Queenslea Drive (OQD) and Little Queenslea Drive (LQD), are central to our Health and Wellbeing strategy, supporting students in Years 4 and 9 as they navigate important transitions. These programs foster resilience, self-awareness, and healthy relationships by providing safe spaces for reflection, mentoring, and community building. Through shared experiences and guided discussions, students develop a strong sense of identity, belonging, and purpose, helping them thrive both at school and beyond.

At Christ Church, health and wellbeing is central to everything that we do. Throughout every stage of a student's journey, wellbeing is woven into all aspects of our school life. In the classroom, or on the sporting field, together we create a shared direction for wellbeing that helps every student develop connection, identity and purpose, and ultimately - be able to thrive in life.

Harnessing the Power of Guest Speakers
Christ Church is proud to work hand in hand with parents in the shared journey of raising students to become confident, compassionate, and capable young men. Working in partnership, parents and the School create an environment where values, respect, and responsibility are at the heart of every lesson.
Through meaningful programs and the insights of inspiring guest speakers—carefully selected to ensure their expertise complements the direction of the School’s Health and Wellbeing Strategy—the School provides a wealth of knowledge and guidance for both students and their families.
Parents are actively included in key presentations to ensure the whole family is engaged with, and informed about, the subject matter. Together, this partnership strengthens the collective mission to build good men who contribute positively to their communities and the world.
